    What is Hakata Ningyo?
    Originally, Hakata dolls are known as clay unglazed dolls, but Yamakasa decoration dolls are craft dolls made of wood, bamboo, Japanese paper, cloth, etc. It is said to have been transmitted by the Kobori family, a craftsman invited from Kyoto in 1437, and has become an important field of work for puppeteers as the second series of Hakata dolls.
