Majolica Butter Pat #29 – Multicolored Leaf
I’ve collected and enjoyed the beauty of majolica butter pats over the last 35 years but it’s time to find them a new home; I’ll be selling them a few at a time in my monthly sales; This one is shaped like a leaf and is 3-3/8 inches across at its largest dimension; The background is strongly indented veins on the leaf with very dark blue center with maroon, brown and yellow highlights around the edge; The bottom is bluish gray; Please look over the photographs to appreciate the beauty of these butter pats and to assess any flaws that I may have noted; Majolica butter pats are rarely absolutely mint and usually have miniscule amounts of wear, but most of mine are so close to mint that I will call them extremely near mint and if there are any flaws will point them out; This one has a TINY TINY amount of wear almost not worth mentioning; Otherwise it is mint.
