I have used a lot of athletic tape and this is the real deal. Very sticky - my football players have had no issue with it staying on their ankles for several hours during practices. Just as important, it tears through easily by hand as I don't have the time to use scissors. Both of these things were issues I had with Mueller tape: didn't stick and didn't rip.
