Wooden Silverware Flatware Chest Burgundy Service For 12 Double Deep Lift Tray

This is a wooden silverware flatware chest box. It is marked by S & R. The inside is lined with burgundy felt. The felt has some discoloration. There are 12 sets of knife slots in the lid, the top row has come detached on one side. There is a lift tray with loops to reveal a lower layer compartment. They very bottom divider is a tad wiggly, but still secure. The divider in the lift tray is secure. There is some felt peeling on the back of the lift tray and also the lower level compartment. There are four felted corner posts to help keep the lift tray supported from falling into the lower compartment, the divider serves as the middle support.
The hinges themselves are in good working order, but one hinge keeps popping out of the lid, see pictures.
The exterior has scuffs and marks consistent with heavy use. The corners are dovetailed. The lid has some deep gouges, see picture. It measures about 15 3/4” x 10 3/4”, and is about 5 3/4” deep.
